Facial Pampering With Sensse

The last few weeks have been a busy time – end of term is always a little crazy, sorting everything out before the summer break, meeting my new class and saying fond farewells to the current little ones. It’s also been chock-a-block with planning out our upcoming holiday – arranging tours, car hire, flights and hotels in four different cities has indeed been a challenge! It was perfect timing that I received an email asking if I would like to test out some luxury facial products from Sensse – I quickly leapt at the chance to indulge in some pampering and ‘me-time’! I’m also always intrigued to hear about the latest in beauty and skincare and when I was informed I would be reviewing the Silicone Facial Cleansing and Exfoliating Brush and Hot and Cool Ultrasonic Facial Bar I couldn’t wait to give them a whirl!

Firstly I have to say that both of the products came packaged in the most beautiful boxes that would certainly make for an impressive present for any beauty fan! Both the exfoliating brush and facial bar came with their own cosmetic bag and USB cable – ideal for making sure that nothing gets misplaced! There was also a handy instruction booklet which I immediately pored over to discover how to get the most benefit from each of the products.

Sensse exfoliating brush and hot and cool facial toner bar review

Sensse Silicone Facial Cleansing and Exfoliating Brush

The Sensse facial brush is designed to combine both cleansing and anti-ageing in one device. The tiny, silicone bristles work along the contours of your face to drag out impurities, unclog pores and effectively exfoliate your skin through working with your usual cleanser. The brush also has a variable vibration setting which not only feels relaxing but also aims to massage fine lines and wrinkles to leave you with a healthy, youthful glow. It also has a handy auto shut off setting after 3 minutes (the ideal usage time) which means that just one full charge will last 180 uses!

I have to say I did really enjoy using this product! The fact that is is splash-proof meant that I could easily incorporate it to my daily shower routine and I used the smoother bristled side in combination with my normal facial exfoliating scrub. The variable massaging vibrations were relaxing and felt pleasant on my face and I liked that you could also use the rounder bumps on the rear of the brush to target fine lines (although I did prefer the softer bristle side!). My skin certainly feels smooth but as I’ve only been using the product for a couple of weeks I cant yet comment on the long term effect – I’m hoping to look 25 by my next birthday though!

Sensse Hot and Cool Ultrasonic Skin Tightening Facial Toner and Eye Massager

The hot and cool facial bar is designed to relieve skin fatigue and energise facial muscles leaving you with a radiant glow. The hot setting (it warms up to 42° in just a few seconds!) helps to increase blood circulation which aims to smooth out wrinkles and soften skin for an anti-ageing effect. The cool mode (at 6°) soothes sore muscles and works to reduce redness and puffiness. This setting also helps to close your pores and prevent dirt build-up. Both settings also have a ultrasonic massage option to help absorb any creams that you use with the facial bar or to help tone and firm your skin.

The hot and cool facial bar is pure pampering luxury! I love that this clever tool can go from hot to cool in just 6 seconds so you can get straight to feeling relaxed and rejuvenated within a matter of minutes. I found the cool mode to be an ideal solution to soothing my tired eyes after a busy day and the subtle vibrations felt super comforting! I did prefer the cool setting to the hot, but I think this will change as winter approaches – I can imagine using my facial bar on a December evening, slippers on, cup of hot chocolate in hand and feeling complete bliss! Again I haven’t used the product for quite long enough yet to judge if it has made a huge difference to my skin but the experience itself was relaxing and pampering enough to please me!

Overall I did enjoy using both of these products. The exfoliating brush is priced at £39.99 and the facial bar is £59.99. I would say both of these are at the luxury end of skincare rather than an everyday essential but if you are looking for something sleek, innovative and luxurious they are right up your street! If I had to choose I would probably buy the exfoliating brush over the facial bar as I feel it fitted into my skincare routine more easily, but as both come backed with a 60 day money back satisfaction guarantee and two year warranty I would say you’re covered whichever product you choose. I may not look ten years younger just yet but my skin is definitely feeling the love and attention!
