Melissa Ceramics is a small family business that specialises in beautiful porcelain home decor, accessories, gifts and jewellery. Melissa herself operates the business from her little cottage in Cornwall where she has set up her workshop and kiln and even uses the flowers from her garden in her delicate floral designs! Inspired by the local countryside and beautiful Cornish coast you can see the influences of the sea, rolling hills and surrounding nature carried through in her intricate work.
I was sent one of Melissa’s beautiful bowls from her Country Garden Range and can honestly say that when I opened the carefully packaged parcel I was impressed by the detail and craftsmenship of her design. This stunning bowl has been pressed with a real flower, then hand painted before a glaze is applied. The colours have been applied in such a subtle and careful way to ensure that the dainty details of the petals and stem remain to create a pretty yet tasteful appearance that would compliment any dressing table.
